SHN900A Series
Full 2-port vector network analysis in the field: 30 kHz to 26.5 GHz, up to 110 dB dynamic range, Cable & Antenna Test, built-in GPS and a rugged 8.4-inch touchscreen — just 3.2 kg.

Overview
The SHN900A series brings full 2-port vector network analysis out of the lab and into the field. Covering 30 kHz to 14, 20 or 26.5 GHz, it supports scattering-parameter, differential-parameter and time-domain measurements with up to 110 dB of dynamic range and very low trace noise (0.0005 dB rms).
Beyond S-parameters, a Cable & Antenna Test (CAT) mode with distance-to-fault (DTF) makes it ideal for installing and maintaining antenna and cable systems, while a built-in GPS geotags every measurement and an internal bias-tee feeds DC to the device under test. Multiple calibration methods — SOLT, SOLR, TRL, response and enhanced response — plus impedance conversion, fixture simulation and adapter removal keep accuracy high.
Optional spectrum analysis, time-domain analysis (TDA) and enhanced TDR expand the instrument for signal verification and signal-integrity work. A spacious 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen, quick-access keys, hot-swappable battery and a rugged 3.2 kg chassis make it fast and comfortable to use anywhere. As the official Siglent distributor for Europe, we hold the SHN900A in EU stock with local warranty, ISO/DKD calibration and expert support.

Core capabilities
Full 2-port S-parameters
S11, S21, S12 and S22 plus differential S-parameters (Sdd, Sdc, Scd, Scc), shown as Smith chart, polar, SWR, log-mag, phase and every standard format.
Multiple calibration methods
SOLT, SOLR, TRL, response and enhanced-response calibration — compatible with many cal kits and user-defined standards for different interfaces.
Cable & Antenna Test (CAT)
Assess RF/microwave transmission systems: distance-to-fault, single-port cable loss and antenna matching, right where the system is installed.
GPS & internal bias-tee
Built-in GPS tags measurements with location; the internal bias-tee conveniently supplies DC to the device under test — no external tee.
De-embedding & conversion
Impedance conversion, fixture simulation and adapter removal/insertion move the measurement plane onto the DUT for accurate results.
High dynamic, low noise
110 dB dynamic range and very low trace noise (0.0005 dB rms) meet the need for precise, high-confidence measurement.
Features in depth
Excellent characteristics
With up to 110 dB dynamic range and very low trace noise (0.0005 dB rms, 0.015° rms), the SHN900A delivers precise, repeatable measurements. It measures the full S-parameter set (S11, S12, S21, S22) plus differential S-parameters (Sdd11, Sdc11, Scd11, Scc11) and shows results in every standard format — Smith chart, polar, SWR, log-mag and phase. Multiple calibration methods (SOLT, SOLR, TRL, response and enhanced response), with support for user-defined kits, keep accuracy high across different connector and interface types.

A wide range of standard functions
Cable & Antenna Test (CAT) mode assesses RF and microwave transmission systems — distance-to-fault (DTF), single-port cable loss and antenna matching — ideal for installing and maintaining antenna systems. A built-in GPS geotags measurements, the internal bias-tee supplies DC to the device under test, and segmented sweep plus frequency-offset modes add precision and flexibility for component testing. Two rugged test ports, LAN, USB host/device and full SCPI/LXI remote control complete the field toolkit.
Built for the field
Despite its high integration, the SHN900A stays light and portable — a rugged chassis weighing just 3.2 kg with a spacious 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen. Quick-access buttons and an intuitive menu structure make standardized measurements fast and error-free, and engineers can easily manage windows, channels and traces. A hot-swappable battery keeps you working away from mains power, and a custom-designed carrying bag stores the instrument and all accessories together for safe transport between sites.

In the box
Every SHN900A ships with the standard accessories below.
Optional accessories
Calibration modules, GPS antenna and precision RF test cables.

You’ll need a calibration kit
A vector network analyzer is only as accurate as its calibration. The SHN900A does not include a calibration standard — pair it with the SEM5002A ECal module or a mechanical cal kit so you can measure to a trusted reference plane, right in the field.
Browse calibration kits & ECal
A VNA measures relative to its calibration plane. Calibration removes the errors of the cables, adapters and connectors between the instrument and the device under test.
Re-calibrate whenever the cabling, frequency span, output power or temperature changes — so a good kit travels with the instrument on site.
The one-connection SEM5002A ECal calibrates in seconds, or use SOLT, SOLR and TRL mechanical kits and user-defined standards.
Software licences & options
Full S-parameter measurement, CAT/DTF, calibration and de-embedding are standard. These software licences expand the SHN900A further — activated by key, no hardware to fit. Limited offer: buy the SHN900-TDR and get the SHN900-TDA licence free. See the full SHN900A licence page.

Adds a spectrum-analyzer mode — channel power, ACPR and occupied bandwidth. Marker→SA jumps from VNA to SA at the marker frequency.

Time-domain transformation, windowing and gating for device characterisation from both time and frequency domains.

Reflection and transmission analysis and fault localisation, plus eye-diagram simulation and jitter injection for signal-integrity work.
