A flagship bench oscilloscope

The SDS6000A series is Siglent’s high-performance platform for demanding R&D, validation and education. Three models deliver 500 MHz, 1 GHz or 2 GHz of bandwidth, each with four channels sampling at 5 GSa/s (10 GSa/s ESR) and up to 500 Mpts of acquisition memory.

Beyond raw acquisition, it is a complete analysis instrument: a large 12.1" capacitive touch display, a 170,000 wfm/s capture rate (750,000 wfm/s in Sequence mode), 8 Mpts FFT, and a license-activated pro suite covering eye-diagram & jitter, power analysis, Bode plotting, SignalScan and extensive serial-bus decode. Add the SPL2016 logic probe for 4 analog + 16 digital mixed-signal work.

Where it fits: the SDS6000A is for engineers who have outgrown a mid-range scope but need real bandwidth and analysis depth — power-electronics and motor-drive development, high-speed digital and serial-bus debug, RF-adjacent work, EMC pre-compliance and university research. Bode plot & frequency-response analysis

A complete frequency-response analyser is built in: apply a swept stimulus and the SDS6000A plots gain and phase versus frequency directly on the 12.1″ screen — no PC and no separate vector network analyser required.

  • Switching loss — turn-on, turn-off & conduction loss, plus a Safe-Operating-Area (SOA) plot
  • Power quality — real / apparent / reactive power, power factor and crest factor

What bandwidths does the SDS6000A series offer?

Three models: SDS6054A (500 MHz), SDS6104A (1 GHz) and SDS6204A (2 GHz). All have 4 analog channels and sample at 5 GSa/s per channel (10 GSa/s in ESR mode).

How deep is the memory?

Up to 500 Mpts on a single channel, 250 Mpts on two channels and 125 Mpts across three or four channels.

Can it do mixed-signal (logic) analysis?

Yes — add the SPL2016 16-channel logic probe and the SDS6000Pro-16LA activation for 4 analog + 16 digital channels.

Which serial buses can it decode?

I²C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN are standard. CAN FD, FlexRay, I²S, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT, Manchester and ARINC429 are available as licenses.

Does it support eye-diagram and power analysis?
