SSA3000X-R Series

A real-time spectrum analyzer that also hides a vector network analyzer inside. Covering 9 kHz to 3.2, 5.0 or 7.5 GHz with up to 40 MHz of real-time bandwidth and a 7.2 µs 100% probability of intercept, it catches the hopping, bursting and colliding signals a swept analyzer misses — shown as density, spectrogram, 3D and power-versus-time. Every model also ships with a 1-path-2-port VNA (vector S11/S21) and a distance-to-fault locator at no extra charge, plus a standard preamplifier, tracking generator and a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen.

What is the difference between the three SSA3000X-R models?

Frequency range: SSA3032X-R 3.2 GHz, SSA3050X-R 5.0 GHz and SSA3075X-R 7.5 GHz. Everything else — 25 MHz real-time bandwidth, the built-in VNA and DTF, standard preamplifier and tracking generator, multi-touch screen and software — is identical.

What makes it a ‘real-time’ analyzer?

It processes a wide slice of spectrum continuously — 25 MHz as standard, 40 MHz with the RT40 option — with a 7.2 µs 100% probability of intercept, so brief, hopping and overlapping signals that a swept analyzer skips are captured and shown as density, spectrogram, 3D or power-versus-time.

Is the vector network analyzer really included?

Yes. Every SSA3000X-R ships with a 1-path-2-port VNA (vector S11 and S21, up to 90 dB dynamic range) and a distance-to-fault locator for cable and antenna testing — at no extra charge.

Which licenses can I add?

How does it differ from the SSA3000X Plus?

The R adds true real-time analysis (density/spectrogram/3D/PvT) plus a built-in vector network analyzer and DTF. The Plus is a swept analyzer without real-time capture or the VNA. Both share the 10.1-inch multi-touch platform.
