Adds a dedicated power-analysis application to the oscilloscope: switching loss, safe operating area, harmonics, power quality, modulation, inrush current and efficiency, computed from a synchronised voltage and current channel with the results tabulated rather than left as raw waveforms.
Turns the general-purpose oscilloscope into a power-supply test instrument, so switching-converter measurements can be made repeatably against a defined method instead of by hand with cursors.
An engineer qualifying a 65 W USB-C charger needs switching loss per cycle across the load range. By hand that is hours of cursor work and a spreadsheet; with the option the scope reports turn-on, turn-off and conduction loss directly, and the same measurement can be repeated identically on the next unit off the line.
The 16-channel logic probe hardware for the entry and mid-range four-channel oscilloscopes, supplied with its interface cable, flying leads and grabber clips. 100 kΩ input, ±10 V range, 120 Mbps, 8.3 ns minimum pulse width.

An external isolated USB arbitrary waveform generator module that the oscilloscope powers and drives over one lead. 25 MHz, 125 MSa/s, 14-bit, with a galvanically isolated output rated ±42 Vpk.
Provides the stimulus source that the oscilloscope's Bode-plot and frequency-response software needs, with isolation good enough to inject into a live power supply's feedback path.
Measuring the loop response of a running SMPS, the isolated output is connected across an injection resistor in the feedback path — a connection that would short part of the circuit through the mains if an earthed bench generator were used.
