SDS5000X
Fourteen software options for the SDS5000X, every one a key for the instrument you already own: bandwidth upgrades, power analysis and nine serial protocols on top of the five that come standard. This page lists all fourteen from Siglent’s current price list, together with the MSO parts and the probes and accessories the options depend on.

Bandwidth upgrades
One key per step and per channel count. The 350 MHz model can be raised to 500 MHz, but not to 1 GHz — Siglent do not offer that path, so a 1 GHz SDS5000X has to be bought as one. The 500 MHz model takes the 1 GHz key. The 2-channel keys are for the SDS5032X and SDS5052X, which are no longer made. ⚠ The supplied SP3050A probes are rated 500 MHz: after a 1 GHz upgrade, use the SP6150A or the SAP1000 wherever you need the full bandwidth.

Raises the analogue bandwidth from 350 MHz to 500 MHz by key — no hardware change.

Raises the analogue bandwidth from 500 MHz to 1 GHz by key, on the 500 MHz model.

Power analysis
SDS-5000X-PA measures a converter from one voltage and one current channel: switching loss, SOA, ripple, PSRR, inrush, harmonics, efficiency and more. It needs a high-voltage differential probe and a current probe, deskewed with the DF2001A.
Serial trigger & decode
I²C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN come as standard — no key needed. CAN FD, FlexRay, I²S, MIL-STD-1553B and SENT are trigger and decode. ⚠ CAN XL, Manchester, ARINC 429 and SpaceWire are decode only on this series: capture with a normal trigger and the decoder reads the result. MIL-STD-1553B, Manchester, ARINC 429 and SpaceWire decode from the analogue channels only; the others also from the SPL2016’s digital channels. Two decoders run at once.

CAN FD trigger and decode — nominal rate to 1 Mbps, data phase to 10 Mbps.

FlexRay trigger and decode at 2.5, 5 or 10 Mbps.

I²S audio trigger and decode, including left- and right-justified formats.

MIL-STD-1553B trigger and decode on the analogue channels.

SENT (SAE J2716) trigger and decode for automotive sensors.

CAN XL decode in SIC and fast mode, data phase to 10 Mbps — decode only.

Manchester decode, 500 bps to 5 Mbps — decode only, no trigger.

ARINC 429 decode, 12.5 to 100 kbps — decode only, no trigger.

SpaceWire decode from 2 to 400 Mbps, as characters or packets — decode only.
Mixed-signal (MSO)
Sixteen digital channels at up to 1.25 GSa/s come from the SPL2016 logic probe. On a current SDS5000X the digital channels are standard, so the probe is all you need. ⚠ Early units need a key as well: Siglent’s 2019 data sheet lists the digital channels as an option, SDS-5000X-16LA. If the Digital menu on your instrument asks for a licence, order the key — or the probe and key together, which costs less than the two separately.

16-channel logic probe hardware for mid and high-end scopes — 300 Mbps, ±20 V range.

Enables the 16 digital channels on early SDS5000X units that shipped without them.

The SPL2016 logic probe with the MSO licence, for early units — €90 less than the two separately.
Related hardware
The parts several options depend on. The SP6150A and SAP1000 keep a 1 GHz instrument from being limited by its probes; the TPA10 lets TekProbe Level II active probes be used instead. The DF2001A deskews probes for power analysis, and the SAG1021I is a sweep source for the Bode plot (a Siglent SDG generator also works). ⚠ Siglent’s data sheet calls the SAG1021I 25 MHz in the specifications and 50 MHz in the accessory list; it is sold as 25 MHz.

1.5 GHz 10:1 passive probe for a 50 Ω input — the probe a 1 GHz oscilloscope needs.

1 GHz single-ended active probe — about 1.2 pF at the tip instead of 10–15 pF.

Adapter for Tektronix TekProbe Level II active probes, 4 GHz.

Deskew fixture that lines up voltage and current probe timing before power analysis.

External isolated USB arbitrary waveform generator — 25 MHz, 14-bit, ±42 Vpk isolated.

19-inch rack mount kit for the SDS5000X, 6U high.

Padded soft carry case for taking the instrument, cables and probes to site.
Prices are per license and may exclude VAT; confirmed at checkout. Some options require a compatible firmware version or hardware (e.g. a logic probe for MSO) — see each product. Software licenses & activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. Errors & omissions excepted.
