Every -SC model ships with the SC1016 scanner card — a built-in multiplexer that sequentially measures many channels from a single DMM. Ideal for multi-point monitoring, temperature mapping, burn-in and automated production test, with timestamped data logging.

What do 4½, 5½ and 6½ digits mean?
The digit count sets resolution: 4½ digit ≈ 60,000 counts (SDM3045X), 5½ digit ≈ 240,000 counts (SDM3055 / SDM4055A) and 6½ digit ≈ 2,200,000 counts (SDM3065X / SDM4065A). More digits give finer resolution and better accuracy.
What is a -SC model / the scanner card?
A -SC model ships with the SC1016 scanner card — a built-in multiplexer that measures many channels in sequence from one DMM. The SDM3055-SC and SDM3065X-SC have 12 channels; the SDM4055A-SC and SDM4065A-SC have 16 channels (12 multi-purpose + 4 current). Great for multi-point monitoring, temperature mapping and automated test.
Can I add the scanner card later?
The scanner card is supplied with the -SC variant only, so if you expect to do multi-channel scanning it's best to order the -SC model from the start. Contact us if you're unsure which variant suits your workflow.
What can the scanner card measure?
Per channel: DC/AC voltage and current, 2- and 4-wire resistance, capacitance, frequency/period, diode, continuity and temperature (thermocouple and RTD), with timestamped scanning and data logging.
Which model is fastest / most precise?
The SDM4065A is the flagship: 6½ digit (2,200,000 counts) with up to 50,000 rdgs/s, a 5" touchscreen, digitize and autozero. The SDM3065X also offers 6½ digit at up to 10,000 rdgs/s.
Are calibration certificates available?
Yes. Every unit ships with a factory ISO calibration certificate, and we offer accredited ISO/DKD (DAkkS) calibration and recalibration on request — see our calibration services.
