SNA5000A Series

A full-featured vector network analyzer family covering 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz in 2- and 4-port configurations. With up to 125 dB of dynamic range, a −125 dBm/Hz noise floor, 1 Hz frequency and 0.05 dB level resolution and a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, the SNA5000A measures full S-parameters, differential/balanced parameters and time-domain response. SOLT, SOLR, TRL, Response and Enhanced-Response calibration (with optional electronic cal kits) and a deep set of options — spectrum analysis, mixer, material, pulse, gain-compression and time-domain — make it a complete RF and microwave measurement platform for R&D and production.

How do I choose between the SNA5000A models?

Pick by frequency range and port count: 2-port models (SNA5002A/5012A/5022A/5032A) at 4.5, 8.5, 13.5 or 26.5 GHz, and 4-port models (SNA5004A/5014A) at 4.5 or 8.5 GHz. All share the same platform, 125 dB dynamic range, 12.1-inch touchscreen and options.

What measurement options are available?

High-performance reference (HPR), time-domain (TDA) and enhanced TDR, spectrum analyzer (SA), scalar and vector mixer (SMM / VMM), material (MT), pulse (PM), gain-compression (GC), performance test (PV) and automatic fixture removal (AFR).

Do I need a calibration kit?

Each unit ships with a calibration certificate; for measurement you calibrate with SOLT/TRL standards or, more conveniently, a matching SEM-series electronic calibration kit (choose by port count and frequency). A USB-GPIB adapter is available for GPIB automation.

What dynamic range and resolution does it offer?

Up to 125 dB of dynamic range at 10 Hz IF bandwidth with a −125 dBm/Hz noise floor, 1 Hz frequency resolution and 0.05 dB level resolution.

Can it be automated?

Yes — LAN, USB and SCPI with an embedded web server are standard, and an optional USB-GPIB adapter adds GPIB control for existing test racks.
