One platform, three levels of precision
Every SDM3000X shares the same DNA: a bright 4.3″ TFT dual display that shows two readings of one signal at once, True-RMS AC measurement, and a complete function set — DC/AC voltage and current, 2/4-wire resistance, capacitance, frequency, continuity, diode and TC/RTD temperature. Statistics, histogram, trend and limit testing run on the instrument itself.
Pick your precision: 4½ digits for everyday bench work, 5½ digits for development and production, or 6½ digits at 0.0035% where microvolts matter. USB (plus LAN from the SDM3055 up) with SCPI and the free EasyDMM software make every model automation-ready.

The factory-installed SC1016 scanner card turns an SDM3055-SC or SDM3065X-SC into a compact data-acquisition system: 12 multiplexed channels scanning DCV/ACV, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, continuity and TC/RTD temperature — with time-stamped logging for burn-in, environmental and reliability testing.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the SDM3045X, SDM3055 and SDM3065X?
Resolution and accuracy: 4½ digit / 0.06%, 5½ digit / 0.015% and 6½ digit / 0.0035% basic DCV accuracy respectively. All three share the same True-RMS function set, dual display and USB connectivity; the SDM3055 and SDM3065X add LAN, and the SDM3065X reads up to 10,000 rdgs/s.
What does the -SC suffix mean?
-SC models ship with the SC1016 scanner card factory-installed: a 12-channel multiplexer (CH1–CH12) that scans DCV/ACV, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, continuity and TC/RTD temperature with time-stamped logging — one instrument measuring twelve points.
Can I add the scanner card to a standard model later?
No — the SC1016 is only available factory-installed in the -SC variants and is not a field upgrade. If multi-point scanning might ever be on your roadmap, choose the -SC model from the start.
Which measurement functions are included?
Every SDM3000X measures DC/AC voltage and current (True-RMS), 2- and 4-wire resistance, capacitance, frequency/period, continuity, diode and temperature (thermocouple & RTD), with statistics, histogram, trend, limit testing and dB/dBm maths on the instrument.
Can I control them remotely?
Yes. All models have USB (USB-TMC, SCPI); the SDM3055 and SDM3065X add LAN. The free EasyDMM PC software covers configuration, logging and export, and a USB-GPIB adapter is available for legacy ATE racks.
Are the multimeters calibrated?
Every unit ships with a factory calibration certificate. Accredited DKD/DAkkS calibration is available as an option for audit-proof traceability.
