Overview
The SDG8000A series is Siglent's flagship RF arbitrary waveform generator. With up to 5 GHz output, 12 GSa/s sampling and 16-bit vertical resolution, it bridges the gap between a classic AWG and a vector signal generator.
A built-in digital modulator delivers direct RF and IQ/vector output up to 5 GHz with as much as 2 GHz of modulation bandwidth — so you can create 5G NR, LTE, WiFi 6/7, Bluetooth and IoT signals without external up-conversion hardware. Five signal-generation modes — AFG, AWG, I/Q vector, modulated and protocol — combine with PRBS patterns to 1.25 Gbps, deep 4 Gpts memory and a standard high-precision OCXO to cover everything from wideband comms to high-speed serial and radar test.
Two models share identical performance and differ only in channel count: the SDG8002A (2 channels) and the SDG8004A (4 channels for MIMO, phased-array and multi-channel synchronised work).
From 5G/6G and WiFi 6/7 wireless development to RF front-end and power-amplifier characterisation, high-speed serial pattern generation and radar or phased-array research, the SDG8000A delivers clean, repeatable stimulus from a single instrument — replacing a separate AWG and vector signal generator on the bench.

Modulation & protocol
