Siglent SigIQPro Signal Generation Software
Siglent SigIQPro is a professional I/Q signal generation software for creating digital baseband waveforms used in RF and wireless testing. It supports common modulation schemes and integrates seamlessly with compatible Siglent signal generators, with optional licenses available for wireless standards such as Bluetooth®, WLAN, and cellular technologies.
SigIQPro — turn your signal generator into a protocol source
SigIQPro builds the waveform on your PC and plays it through the Siglent generator you already own. Instead of buying a vector generator with every standard baked in, you download the free base software and licence only the protocols you actually test — 5G NR, LTE, Wi-Fi up to 802.11be, Bluetooth, IoT, WCDMA/HSPA+, GSM/EDGE, or your own custom OFDM and IQ waveforms.
Everything is defined in software: packet type, payload, modulation, symbol rate, filtering and waveform length. The result is a standards-compliant, bit-for-bit repeatable signal you can replay identically next week — then export as an IQ file or push straight to the instrument over the existing connection. No baseband hardware, no extra rack space. Every option runs 30 free trials before you commit.
The base software is free — download it here
No licence needed to install and start building waveforms. Every protocol option then runs 30 free trials on your generator before you buy anything.

Signals & standards you can generate
Each protocol is a separate licence, so the software grows with your test needs. These five capabilities are shown below; the cellular and Wi-Fi packs follow the same workflow.

Bluetooth
Build Bluetooth Classic and Low-Energy (BR/EDR/LE) test signals — pick the packet type, payload, whitening and modulation, then play a standards-compliant waveform for receiver, range and coexistence testing.

IoT
Generate IoT wireless test signals for low-power connectivity standards, so you can verify receiver sensitivity, range and protocol behaviour of IoT-class devices on real RF.

Custom OFDM
Design OFDM signals from scratch: subcarrier spacing, modulation, pilots and framing are all configurable — ideal for research, prototyping and pre-standard development.

Custom IQ
Import or create arbitrary IQ data and play it back exactly as defined — reuse recorded captures from MATLAB, Python or a receiver, or build any custom waveform your application needs.

Signal toolkit
A built-in toolkit to assemble, convert and fine-tune waveforms — combine segments, adjust levels and prepare files before downloading them to the instrument.
Beyond the standards
Two capabilities that make SigIQPro useful even when no standard fits.

Custom IQ — any modulation you can describe
Pick from ASK, QAM, MFSK, MSK and custom constellations, set the symbol rate, frame count and root-raised-cosine filter, and watch the constellation and IQ traces update as you go. Or skip the builder entirely and import an IQ file made in MATLAB, Python or captured off-air — the generator replays it exactly as defined. This is what makes proprietary protocols, pre-standard research and interference scenarios testable on standard hardware.

Signal toolkit — the everyday utilities
Assemble, convert and fine-tune waveforms before they reach the instrument: combine segments, adjust levels, convert between IQ data formats and prepare files for download. It removes the external scripts and manual calculations that usually sit between "I have data" and "the generator is transmitting" — which matters most in automated racks and repetitive production tests.

Application examples
Receiver test without a baseband generator
A standards-compliant waveform built in software and played by your SSG or SDG replaces a dedicated baseband source. Sensitivity, BER and blocking tests run against a repeatable, precisely defined signal — for a fraction of the cost of a vector generator with every protocol built in.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth device bring-up
Generate 802.11ax/be or Bluetooth LE frames with the exact packet type, payload and modulation your DUT expects, then sweep level and channel to find where the receiver starts failing — long before you book conformance lab time.
Cellular module validation
5G NR, LTE FDD/TDD and WCDMA/HSPA+ packs produce the downlink signals a module has to demodulate, so you can validate integration, antenna matching and de-sense on the bench with realistic traffic.
Research & pre-standard prototyping
The custom OFDM designer and Custom IQ playback let you transmit modulation schemes that no standard covers yet — ideal for university research, defence and aerospace work, and proprietary link development.
Interference & edge-case scenarios
Import a captured IQ file of a real-world interferer, or synthesise a worst-case waveform, and replay it identically every run — the repeatability that makes intermittent failures reproducible.
Which licence works with which generator
Not every protocol pack runs on every instrument. The SSG6000A-V supports the full range including Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7.

Frequently asked questions
Is the SigIQPro base software really free?
Yes. The SigIQPro application itself is a free download — you install it, connect a compatible Siglent generator and start building waveforms. You only pay for the individual protocol licences you need, and each one gives you 30 free trials first.
Which generators does SigIQPro work with?
The SSG6000A-V, SDG7000A and SSG5000X-V. Not every protocol pack runs on every model — see the compatibility matrix above. The SSG6000A-V supports the full range including Wi-Fi 6E/7.
Do I need any extra hardware?
No. SigIQPro is a pure software solution: it creates the IQ waveform on your PC and downloads it to the generator over the existing connection. There is no external baseband unit to buy, rack or cable up.
Can I play back my own IQ data?
Yes — the Custom IQ capability imports arbitrary IQ files created in MATLAB, Python or other signal-processing tools, and replays them exactly as defined. SigIQPro also converts between a wide range of IQ data formats.
How are the licences delivered?
Electronically, as software activation keys tied to your instrument. Send us the generator’s serial number with your order and we will issue the key. Activation keys are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once issued.
Which licence do I need for Wi-Fi 7?
SigIQPro-IEEE.802.11.be (€3,820) covers 802.11be / Wi-Fi 7, and it requires an SSG6000A-V. For Wi-Fi 6/6E choose the 802.11ax pack; for legacy Wi-Fi the b/g/a/n/ac pack.
