Siglent SSG-SDG-RMK 19" Rack mount kit
19-inch 3U rack mount kit for Siglent SSG3000X, SSG5000X, SSG5000A and SDG7000A. Not for the SSG6000A or the smaller SDG generators - check first
Put the generator in the rack
A 19-inch, 3U mounting kit for Siglent RF signal generators and the SDG7000A arbitrary waveform generator. Two brackets and their fixings; the instrument goes in as it is, and comes out again as it is if you ever need it on a bench.
It is the difference between an instrument that lives in a test system and one that merely sits near it. Rack-mounted, the front panel is always in the same place, the cabling keeps its dressing, and nobody slides the generator six inches to the left while reaching for something behind it.
Fits four Siglent series. It does not fit everything with a similar-looking name, so the compatibility list below is worth thirty seconds of your time before you order.
What it fits
Four series. Each of these links through to the instruments in it, so you can check your exact model.
SSG3000X series
SSG3021X, SSG3032X and the -IQE versions
SSG5000X series
SSG5040X, SSG5060X and the -V vector versions
SSG5000A series
SSG5083A and SSG5085A microwave generators
SDG7000A series
SDG7032A, SDG7052A arbitrary waveform generators
The “SDG” in our product name is misleading. Siglent call this kit simply SSG-RMK. The only SDG generator it fits is the SDG7000A. If you have an SDG800, SDG1000X, SDG2000X, SDG5000 or SDG6000X you need the SDG-RMK instead — or the SDG-2-RMK to put two of them side by side.
The SSG6000A is not the SSG5000A. One character apart, different kit: the SSG6000A and SSG6000A-V take the SSG6000A-RMK. Check the model on the front panel, not the box.
Why bother racking a generator
Beyond tidiness, which is the least interesting reason.
Repeatable positioning
In an automated test system the instrument stops being something that gets nudged. Cables keep their dressing, the front panel is always in the same place, and a measurement set up on Monday still reads the same on Friday.
Nothing gets knocked off a bench
A rack-mounted generator cannot be slid, stacked on, or pulled off by its own cable. On shared benches and in teaching labs that alone pays for the kit.
Bench space back
3U of rack is height you already own. The instrument leaves the worktop and the cabling runs behind the rack instead of across the desk.
Steadier RF measurements
Fixed geometry means cables are not being flexed between runs. On a microwave source where a moved cable can show up in the result, keeping everything still is a measurement decision, not a tidiness one.
Not the right kit? The whole range
Siglent make a different rack kit for almost every chassis, and the model names are close enough to catch people out. Find your instrument here rather than guessing.

Questions we are asked
Will this fit my SDG generator?
Only if it is an SDG7000A. Our product name says “SSG-SDG-RMK”, which reads as though it covers the SDG range, and it does not — Siglent's own name for it is simply SSG-RMK. For an SDG800, SDG1000X, SDG2000X, SDG5000 or SDG6000X you want the SDG-RMK instead, or the SDG-2-RMK if you want two instruments side by side in one 3U opening.
Does it fit the SSG6000A?
No. The SSG6000A and SSG6000A-V take their own SSG6000A-RMK. The model names are one character apart from the SSG5000A, which does fit this kit, so it is worth checking the front panel before ordering.
Does it fit the SSG5000A — the SSG5083A and SSG5085A?
Yes. Siglent's price list and the SSG5000A series page both list this kit for it. You may see an older Siglent accessory page that names only the SSG3000X, SSG5000X and SDG7000A — that list is incomplete, and we have confirmed the SSG5000A belongs on it.
How much rack height do I need?
3U in a standard 19-inch rack. The instrument sits centrally with a bracket each side, so it occupies the full width of the opening — you cannot fit a second instrument alongside it in the same 3U with this kit.
Can I mount two instruments in one opening?
Not with this kit. The SDG-2-RMK is the two-instrument version, but it is for the smaller SDG and SDM chassis rather than the SSG generators.
Does the instrument need anything else to be rack-mounted?
No. The kit is the brackets and fixings; the instrument goes in as it is. Leave the normal clearance for ventilation and give the rear panel enough room for the RF and reference cabling without tight bends.
I have a different Siglent instrument — which kit do I need?
The table above lists the whole range with what each one fits. If yours is not there, or the kit you need has no page on the shop yet, ask us and we will quote it.
Tell us the model and we will confirm the kit
Rack kits are the easiest accessory to get wrong, and the most annoying to return. Send us the model number off the front panel and we will tell you which one you need — including the kits that are not listed on the shop yet. JRSE B.V. is the official Siglent distributor for the European Union.
