500 MHz passive probe for >2 GHz oscilloscopes
The SP3150A is a 500 MHz 10X passive probe specified for oscilloscopes with more than 2 GHz of bandwidth — the probe supplied with the SDS7000A, and the correct replacement or spare for it.
Electrically it is a low-capacitance 11 pF, 10 MΩ probe rated 400 V RMS CAT II, with a 120 cm lead. The distinction from the otherwise identical SP3050A is the front end it is characterised against: on a multi-gigahertz instrument, probe and input have to be specified as a pair.
Before you order
Not interchangeable with the SP3050A on paper. The two probes share their electrical specification, but the SP3150A is the one characterised for oscilloscopes above 2 GHz. On a fast front end, order this one.
