Siglent SDS2000HD-BW3T5 Bandwidth Upgrade 350 MHz to 500 MHz for SDS2354X HD (software licence)
Siglent SDS2000HD-BW3T5: software key that upgrades an SDS2354X HD oscilloscope from 350 MHz to 500 MHz (interleaved). No hardware change.
SDS2000HD-BW3T5 — upgrade an SDS2354X HD to 500 MHz
A software key that raises an SDS2354X HD from 350 MHz to 500 MHz in interleaving mode — the highest bandwidth of the series.
There is no 500 MHz model in Siglent’s European range of the SDS2000X HD: the 350 MHz model with this key is how you get there. After activation, a channel that has its converter to itself — one of C1/C2, one of C3/C4 — runs at 2 GSa/s with 500 MHz of bandwidth. With both channels of a pair on, the bandwidth stays at 350 MHz, as before.
In practice that is a 500 MHz oscilloscope for the two fastest signals on the board and an unchanged 350 MHz oscilloscope for four. The supplied probes are rated 500 MHz, and the 12-bit resolution, the 200 Mpts of memory and all installed options are untouched.

What the key adds
500 MHz in interleaving mode
One channel of each pair (C1/C2 and C3/C4) at 2 GSa/s with the full 500 MHz.
Four-channel work unchanged
With all four channels on, the instrument is the 350 MHz oscilloscope it was.
Software only
Issued for the serial number; no hardware change and no recalibration.
70 µVrms at 500 MHz
The noise floor Siglent gives for the front end at the full 500 MHz bandwidth.
Which oscilloscope it is for
For an instrument that is at 350 MHz. An SDS2204X HD still at 200 MHz takes the SDS2000HD-BW2T5 key to get there in one step. Keys for other Siglent series have their own order codes and are not interchangeable.
With one channel of each pair on (C1 or C2, C3 or C4) the bandwidth is 500 MHz. Switch the second channel of a pair on and that pair runs at 350 MHz. If you need more than 350 MHz on four channels at once, ask us about the SDS3000X HD.
What it costs against the alternative
| SDS2354X HD + this key | €2,880 + €1,100 = €3,980 |
| SDS2204X HD + SDS2000HD-BW2T5 | €2,280 + €1,880 = €4,160 |
| Difference | €180 less starting from the 350 MHz model |
Prices ex VAT. Both routes end at the same 500 MHz instrument.
Specification

| Bandwidth before | 350 MHz |
| Bandwidth after, interleaving mode | 500 MHz — one channel of each pair C1/C2 and C3/C4 active, 2 GSa/s |
| Bandwidth after, non-interleaving mode | 350 MHz — both channels of a pair active, 1 GSa/s per channel |
| Noise floor at 500 MHz bandwidth | 70 µVrms |
| Bandwidth limit filters | 20 MHz and 200 MHz remain selectable per channel |
| Unchanged | 12-bit, 200 Mpts/ch, all installed options; supplied probes are rated 500 MHz |
| Hardware change | None — software key; the instrument keeps its calibration |
| Delivery | Licence key for the instrument’s serial number |
From the SDS2000X HD data sheet EN02B. I²C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN trigger and decode are standard on the series; all other protocols are listed on the licences page.
How it is delivered
1 · Send us the serial number
A software key is generated for one instrument. Add the serial number to the order, or mail it afterwards.
2 · Receive the key
The licence key is delivered by e-mail — nothing is shipped and nothing leaves your bench.
3 · Enter it on the oscilloscope
Enter the key in the options menu; the new bandwidth is shown in the instrument’s system information and stays with that unit.
Questions about the SDS2000HD-BW3T5
Do I get 500 MHz on all four channels?
No. 500 MHz applies in interleaving mode: one channel of each pair, C1 or C2 and C3 or C4. With both channels of a pair on, the bandwidth is 350 MHz. That is the specification of the series.
Can I use it on an SDS2204X HD?
On an SDS2204X HD that has already been upgraded to 350 MHz with the BW2T3 key, yes. An SDS2204X HD still at 200 MHz takes the SDS2000HD-BW2T5 key instead, which costs the same as the two steps.
Is there a 500 MHz model I could buy instead?
Not in Siglent’s European range. The SDS2354X HD with this key is the 500 MHz configuration of the series.
Does the instrument have to be sent in?
No. It is a software key; the oscilloscope stays on your bench and keeps its calibration.
Do I need other probes?
No. The supplied passive probes are rated 500 MHz. For the cleanest 500 MHz measurement use the 50 Ω input or keep the ground lead of the probe as short as possible.
What do you need from me?
The serial number of the oscilloscope. The key is generated for that instrument only.
Not sure which bandwidth key your oscilloscope takes?
Send us the model and serial number and tell us the fastest edge you need to see. We confirm the right key before anything is ordered.
