Siglent SDS1000X-E-RMK 19" 4U Rack Kit

€125.00

Siglent SDS1000X-E-RMK is a 19-inch 4U rack shelf for Siglent SDS1000X-E, SDS1000X-U and SDS2000X-E oscilloscopes. The scope's own front panel stays fully accessible

A shelf for the bench oscilloscopes

A 19-inch, 4U rack shelf for Siglent’s bench oscilloscopes. The instrument sits behind a full-width front panel with a handle at each side, and its own controls stay entirely accessible — screen, knobs, all four inputs, the USB port and the compensation terminal.

Because the panel does the work rather than a chassis-specific bracket, one kit covers four families: SDS1000X-E, SDS1000X-U, SDS2000X-E and the current SDS800X HD. Our own listing has only ever mentioned some of those, which is part of why this page exists.

It is 4U rather than the 3U of the generator and multimeter kits, because these scopes are taller. Budget the height before you plan the rack.

A four-channel Siglent oscilloscope installed in the SDS1000X-E-RMK 19-inch rack shelf
The shelf carries the instrument behind a full-width panel, with a handle at each side for lifting the assembly into the rails. The scope’s own front face sits proud through the opening, so nothing on it is covered.

What it fits

Four families, fifteen models between them. Each links through so you can check your exact model.

The HD models are not all the same

This kit takes the SDS800X HD, but not the bigger HD oscilloscopes. The SDS1000X HD, SDS2000X HD and SDS3000X HD are a larger chassis and need the SDS2000HD-RMK at 6U instead — nearly twice the rack height and a different kit entirely. “HD” in the model name tells you about the ADC, not about which shelf it fits, so check the number in front of it.

Why rack an oscilloscope

Different reasons from racking a generator.

The screen ends up at eye level

A scope on a bench is looked down at; a scope at 4U in a rack is looked straight at. On an instrument you read rather than just operate, that is a real ergonomic difference over a long session.

The probes stop pulling it about

Four probes and a ground lead exert more sideways force on a light bench scope than people expect. Fixed in a rack, the instrument stays where the last person left it.

It joins the system

In a test rack the scope usually sits with a generator and a supply. Racking it puts the whole chain in one frame with the cabling dressed once.

Teaching benches survive longer

In a shared lab the instruments that get damaged are the ones that can be picked up. A shelf with handles is also a lot easier to carry deliberately than a scope held by its bezel.

Questions we are asked

Does it fit the SDS2000X-E as well? The name says so.

Yes. Siglent's own SDS2000X-E series page lists this kit among that series' optional accessories, and their price list names it too. So an SDS2202X-E or SDS2352X-E is fine.

What about the SDS1000X-U?

Yes — and this is the one our listing has been quiet about. Siglent's accessory page calls the kit “compatible with SDS1000X-E/SDS1000X-U models”, so the SDS1104X-U belongs on the list. It is now.

Will it take an SDS800X HD?

Yes. Siglent list this kit for the SDS800X HD in their current price list, and the chassis is the same size class as the SDS1000X-E it was designed around. All six models — SDS802X HD through SDS824X HD — go in it. If you want the rack height confirmed against your specific cabinet before ordering, ask us.

Is it a shelf or a set of brackets?

A shelf. The instrument sits behind a full-width front panel with a handle at each side, rather than having ears bolted to its sides. That is why it fits several different models — the panel does the work, not a chassis-specific bracket.

Why 4U when the generator kits are 3U?

Because these oscilloscopes are taller than the half-width bench instruments. A 7-inch display and a full control panel need the extra height, so budget 4U rather than assuming all Siglent rack kits are the same.

Can I still reach the USB port and the probe compensation terminal?

Yes — the front panel is exposed through the shelf, so the USB host port, the probe compensation output and all four inputs stay where they were. Nothing on the front is covered.

I have a different Siglent oscilloscope. Which kit?

The oscilloscope kits are split by chassis size — there are separate ones for the SDS2000X, the HD models, the SDS5000X, the SDS6000 family and the SDS7000A. The table above lists them all; if the one you need has no page on the shop yet, ask us and we will quote it.

Tell us the model and we will confirm it

Oscilloscope rack kits are split by chassis, and the model names are close. Send us what you are mounting and we will tell you which kit — including whether an SDS800X HD will go in this one. JRSE B.V. is the official Siglent distributor for the European Union.
