Two instruments, one opening — for less than one
The SDG-2-RMK mounts two Siglent bench instruments side by side in a single 3U opening of a 19-inch rack. A generator and a multimeter, two generators, two meters — any pair from the half-width range.
The odd part is the price. This kit costs less than the single-instrument shelf, which sounds like a mistake and is not. The single kit has to be a full-width shelf with a cut-out and handles, because one half-width instrument cannot fill a 19-inch opening on its own. Two instruments fill it between them, so this kit is only the brackets that join them — less metal, lower price.
The practical consequence is worth knowing before you order: if there is any chance of a second instrument going in the rack later, this is the cheaper decision today and tomorrow.

Pairings that make sense
Generator and multimeter
The classic bench pair, and the one this kit is really for. An SDG2042X next to an SDM3055 gives you a stimulus and a measurement in a single 3U opening, wired once and never moved.
Two generators
Two SDG units side by side for two-channel work that needs more than one instrument — or a spare kept powered and ready in the same rack rather than in a cupboard.
Two multimeters
Two SDM3000 meters logging different points at once. Cheaper than a scanner card if you only need two channels and want them genuinely simultaneous rather than multiplexed.
Siglent list the SDL1000X load against the single SDG-RMK but not against this one, and the SDG1000X Plus and SDM4000A are not listed for either. The -SC scanner multimeters share the standard chassis, so they should sit in it fine, but Siglent name only the plain versions. Send us the two models you want to mount and we will confirm properly rather than guess.

Questions we are asked
Why is the two-instrument kit cheaper than the one-instrument kit?
Because it needs less metal. The single SDG-RMK is a shelf — a full-width plate with a cut-out and rack handles — since one half-width instrument cannot fill a 19-inch opening by itself. Two instruments side by side fill it between them, so this kit is only the brackets that join them and mount them. Less material, lower price.
So mounting two instruments costs less than mounting one?
Yes, and it is worth saying plainly: €85 for two, against €109 for one. It also uses half the rack height of two separate shelves. If there is any chance you will rack a second instrument later, buying this kit now is cheaper than buying one shelf today and another tomorrow.
Can I mix a generator and a multimeter?
Yes — that is the usual reason people buy it. All the listed generators and the SDM3000 multimeters share the same half-width chassis, so any two of them sit together.
Does it fit the -SC scanner multimeters?
The SDM3055-SC and SDM3065X-SC use the same chassis as the standard versions, so physically they sit in it the same way. Siglent name only the plain SDM3045X, SDM3055 and SDM3065X in their compatibility list, so if you want that in writing before ordering, ask us and we will confirm it with them.
What about the SDL1000X load, or an SDG1000X Plus?
Neither is named for this kit. Siglent's price list puts the SDL1000X against the single SDG-RMK but not against this one, and the SDG1000X Plus is not listed for either. Ask us rather than assuming — we would rather check than have you send a kit back.
Do I need rack handles?
This kit does not include them, and with two instruments filling the opening there is nowhere obvious to put them. If you want handles, that is an argument for the single-instrument shelf instead — it has them built in.
Can I fit one instrument now and add the second later?
You can mount the kit with one instrument in it, but the second bay will be an open gap until you fill it. If the second instrument is months away and appearance matters, a blanking panel or the single shelf may suit better in the meantime.
