SDS2000HD-RMK — rack mount kit for the X HD oscilloscopes
A 19-inch, 6U rack mount kit for one Siglent SDS1000X HD, SDS2000X HD or SDS3000X HD oscilloscope.
The three series share one chassis — Siglent gives the same 317.2 × 236.0 × 149.0 mm for all of them — so one kit fits every model, from the 100 MHz SDS1102X HD to the 1 GHz SDS3104X HD. The oscilloscope sits in a full-width front panel with a handle at each side, and its touch screen, controls and inputs stay fully usable through the opening.
The panel is 260 mm high: plan for 6U of rack space.

The SDS800X HD is a smaller case and takes the 4U SDS1X-E-RMK; the SDS2000X Plus takes the SDS2000X-RMK; the SDS5000X HD is larger again. “HD” describes the 12-bit ADC, not the case — check the series before you order. The table further down lists every oscilloscope kit.
Why rack an oscilloscope
The screen at eye level
A 10.1-inch touch screen is meant to be read and touched. At 6U in a rack it sits in front of you instead of below you, which matters over a long debugging session.
Probes stop moving it
Four probes, a logic cable and a ground lead pull a 4.1 kg bench scope around more than people expect. Fixed in the rack, it stays where it was set up.
Part of the test system
In a rack the scope sits with the generator, the supply and the load it is measuring, with the cabling dressed once and LAN remote control for the whole set.
Handles for the lift
The panel carries a handle each side, so the assembly is lifted into the rails by the frame rather than by the instrument’s bezel.

Questions about the SDS2000HD-RMK
Which oscilloscopes does it fit?
The SDS1000X HD, SDS2000X HD and SDS3000X HD series. Siglent gives the same outer dimensions for all three — 317.2 × 236.0 × 149.0 mm — so one kit covers every model in them.
Does it fit the SDS800X HD?
No. The SDS800X HD is a smaller chassis and uses the SDS1X-E-RMK (4U). “HD” in the name describes the 12-bit ADC, not the case size.
And the SDS2000X Plus?
No. Despite the similar name it has a different case; it takes the SDS2000X-RMK.
How many oscilloscopes go in one kit?
One. The kit is a full-width 19-inch panel with a single opening for the instrument.
How much rack height do I need?
6U. The panel itself is 260 mm high, slightly under the 266.7 mm of a full 6U, so it fits between neighbouring equipment without spacers.
Can I still use the touch screen and front connectors?
Yes. The oscilloscope’s front sits in the opening of the panel, so the screen, knobs and keys, all channel inputs, the USB ports and the power switch remain accessible.
