Siglent SDS5000HD-PA3 3-Phase Power Analysis license option
Unlocks the SDS5000HD-PA3 3-Phase Power Analysis option for Three-phase power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency, with phasor diagrams (Siglent: TPPA). For the SDS5000X HD.
SDS5000HD-PA3 — Three-phase power analysis (TPPA)
Three-phase power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency, with phasor diagrams (Siglent: TPPA).
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.

What this option does
What it does
Adds three-phase power analysis — Siglent call it TPPA. It measures power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency across the three phases and charts them as track, trend and phasor diagrams.
What you use it for
Motor drives, inverters and industrial supplies, where what matters is how the three phases behave together rather than any one of them.
In practice
Commissioning a variable-frequency drive: input power and harmonic content on all three phases at several load points, with the phasor diagram showing phase balance at a glance.
⚠ Three voltages and three currents are six signals, so a complete three-phase measurement takes six channels. Siglent pair this option with the 6 and 8-channel SDS5000X HD models; a 4-channel instrument cannot see all six at once. You will also need high-voltage differential and current probes.
What it measures
From the SDS5000X HD data sheet.
| Measurements | Power quality, harmonics, ripple, efficiency |
| Charts | Track, trend, phasor diagram |
| Channels for a full measurement | Six — three voltages and three currents |
| Suited to | The 6 and 8-channel SDS5000X HD models |
| You also need | High-voltage differential probes, current probes and the DF2001A deskew fixture |
Compatibility
The option runs on every SDS5000X HD. A full three-phase measurement needs six channels.
| Channels | 350 MHz | 500 MHz | 1 GHz |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4-channel | Works, but cannot see all six signals | Works, but cannot see all six signals | Works, but cannot see all six signals |

The SDS5000L low-profile models have their own option keys. The 6-channel models are supplied on request.

Questions about SDS5000HD-PA3
Can I use it on a 4-channel SDS5000X HD?
The option runs on every SDS5000X HD, but three voltages and three currents are six signals. A 4-channel instrument cannot see all six at once, which is why Siglent pair three-phase analysis with the 6 and 8-channel models.
What else do I need besides the licence?
High-voltage differential probes for the phase voltages, current probes for the phase currents, and the DF2001A fixture to deskew them.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
Not sure this is the right key?
Send us your serial number and what you want to measure. We will confirm the exact option before you order.
