Siglent SDS6000L-USB20 USB 2.0 decode (software)
Siglent SDS6000L-USB20 is a USB 2.0 decode at low, full and high speed — packets, tokens, handshakes and data, decode only. For the SDS6000L. ( license option )
SDS6000L-USB20 — USB 2.0 decode (software)
USB 2.0 decode at low, full and high speed — packets, tokens, handshakes and data, decode only.
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.

What this option does
What it does
Decodes USB 2.0 traffic on the D+/D− pair at low speed (1.5 Mbps), full speed (12 Mbps) and high speed (480 Mbps), showing enumeration and transfers as readable packets, tokens, handshakes and payloads rather than edges. Low and full speed decode from the analogue channels or the SPL2016’s digital channels; high speed from the analogue channels. Decode only.
What you use it for
Enumeration and hand-shaking faults are protocol events with an analogue cause, and USB is fast enough that the analogue cause is often the real one.
In practice
A device enumerates on one host and not another. The decode shows the host issuing a reset and the device failing to answer within the specification’s window, while the analogue trace shows the D+ pull-up rising too slowly — a resistor value, not firmware.
⚠ Decode only — no USB trigger on this series. High-speed (480 Mbps) decode needs the analogue channels and enough bandwidth for the 480 Mbps edges.

Questions about SDS6000L-USB20
Can I trigger on USB 2.0 data?
No. On the SDS6000L USB 2.0 is decode only. Capture with an edge, pulse-width or pattern trigger, and the decoder reads what was captured.
Can I decode from the SPL2016 logic probe?
Yes. USB 2.0 decodes from the analogue channels or from the SPL2016’s 16 digital channels.
Which protocols are already included?
I²C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN trigger and decode are standard on every SDS6000L. CAN FD, CAN XL, FlexRay, I²S, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT, Manchester, ARINC 429, SpaceWire and USB 2.0 are keys.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
Not sure this is the right key?
Send us your serial number and what you want to measure. We will confirm the exact option before you order.
