Siglent SDS5000L-PA3 Three-phase power analysis (TPPA)
Siglent SDS5000L-PA3 is a Three-phase power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency, with phasor diagrams (Siglent: TPPA). For the SDS5000L. ( license option )
SDS5000L-PA3 — Three-phase power analysis (TPPA)
Three-phase power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency, with phasor diagrams (Siglent: TPPA).
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.

What this option does
What it does
Adds three-phase power analysis — Siglent call it TPPA. It measures power quality, harmonics, ripple and efficiency across the three phases and charts them as track, trend and phasor diagrams.
What you use it for
Motor drives, inverters and industrial supplies, where what matters is how the three phases behave together rather than any one of them.
In practice
Commissioning a variable-frequency drive: input power and harmonic content on all three phases at several load points, with the phasor diagram showing phase balance at a glance.
⚠ Three voltages and three currents are six signals, so a complete three-phase measurement takes six channels. The SDS5000L has eight, so one instrument sees all six with two channels to spare. You will also need high-voltage differential and current probes.
What it measures
From the SDS5000X HD / SDS5000L data sheet EN01A.
| Measurements | Power quality, harmonics, ripple, efficiency |
| Charts | Track, trend, phasor diagram |
| Channels for a full measurement | Six — three voltages and three currents, out of the SDS5000L’s eight |
| You also need | High-voltage differential probes, current probes and the DF2001A deskew fixture |

Questions about SDS5000L-PA3
How many channels does a three-phase measurement use?
Six — three voltages and three currents. The SDS5000L has eight, so one instrument sees all six with two channels to spare for a DC link or a control signal.
What else do I need besides the licence?
High-voltage differential probes for the phase voltages, current probes for the phase currents, and the DF2001A fixture to deskew them.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
Not sure this is the right key?
Send us your serial number and what you want to measure. We will confirm the exact option before you order.
