The SMA-SMA-18L is a 1000 mm 50 Ω microwave test cable with an SMA male connector at both ends, specified from DC to 18 GHz.
SMA at both ends is the device-to-device cable: filter into amplifier, board into mixer, one stage of a chain into the next. It is also what you need when the instrument itself is SMA-ported rather than N-ported. Eighteen gigahertz is the standard ceiling for an SMA interface, so this cable runs the connector to its normal limit.
