Siglent SDG830 30MHz Function / Arbitrary Waveform Generator
SIGLENT’s SDG830 is a professional single-channel function and arbitrary waveform generator featuring 30 MHz maximum bandwidth, a 125 MSa/s sampling rate and true 14-bit vertical resolution. Powered by SIGLENT’s advanced EasyPulse technology, it delivers low-jitter pulses with fast, frequency-independent rising and falling edges — even at low duty cycle settings — making it an excellent choice for precise signal generation in education, R&D laboratories, production testing and field service applications.
Product overview
The SDG830 is Siglent's entry-level single-channel function / arbitrary waveform generator — a dependable, affordable signal source for everyday bench, service and teaching work. Built on direct digital synthesis, it delivers stable, low-distortion sine, square, ramp, pulse, noise and arbitrary signals up to 30 MHz with a 125 MSa/s sample rate and 14-bit vertical resolution.
A complete modulation suite — AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK and PWM — together with frequency/amplitude sweep and burst lets you observe modulated waveforms directly on the 3.5-inch display, while a generous 20 Vpp output (into HiZ) drives most bench loads without an external amplifier.

The bundled EasyWave PC software lets you draw and store custom 14-bit, 16 kpts arbitrary waveforms point-by-point, with 10 non-volatile storage slots on the instrument and USB host/device connectivity for saving files and remote SCPI control. Compact, quiet and simple to learn, the SDG830 is ideally suited to electronics education, analog sensor and circuit test, and general-purpose R&D — a dependable first signal generator that earns its place on any bench.

Compact 3.5-inch TFT-LCD, on-screen help and USB — perfect for teaching labs.
Core capabilities
DDS waveform generation
Direct digital synthesis at 125 MSa/s with 14-bit resolution produces stable, pure, low-distortion sine, square, ramp, pulse and Gaussian-noise signals, plus 46 built-in arbitrary waveforms (including DC).
Complete modulation, sweep & burst
AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK and PWM modulation — observable directly on screen — plus linear/log sweep (1 ms–500 s) and count/infinite/gated burst with internal, external or manual triggering.
Arbitrary editing with EasyWave
Create custom 14-bit, 16 kpts waveforms with the bundled EasyWave PC software — nine standard shapes plus manual, point-to-point and free-point drawing — and store up to 10 in non-volatile memory.
Friendly, compact design
A 3.5-inch TFT-LCD with on-screen help, built-in storage and USB host/device makes the SDG800 quick to learn — ideal for analog sensors, circuit and IC test, and research & training.
Fine control of pulse edges
Beyond a fixed square wave, the SDG830 generates true pulse signals with an independently adjustable rising and falling edge time, so you can tailor the pulse shape to your device under test. The measurements below compare the pulse edge and the available edge-adjustment range on a 1 kHz pulse signal.
