Siglent SDS7000A-1GPTS 1 Gpts memory depth (software)
Siglent SDS7000A-1GPTS is a 1 Gpts per channel in dual-channel mode, instead of the standard 500 Mpts — A models. For the SDS7000A. ( license option )
SDS7000A-1GPTS — 1 Gpts memory depth (software), A models
1 Gpts per channel in dual-channel mode, instead of the standard 500 Mpts — A models.
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.

What this option does
What it does
A software key that doubles the record length of an A-model SDS7000A to 1 Gpts per channel when two channels are in use (C1 or C2 together with C3 or C4). With three or four channels active the standard 500 Mpts per channel applies. Nothing is fitted: the key is entered on the instrument.
What you use it for
Record length is what lets you hold a long, slow event at full sample rate and still zoom into a single edge inside it. At 20 GSa/s, 500 Mpts is 25 ms; 1 Gpts is 50 ms.
In practice
Capturing a complete USB 2.0 enumeration at 20 GSa/s so that both the protocol and the edge quality of every packet in it can be examined from one acquisition, instead of re-triggering on each stage.
⚠ A models only. The AP models have 1 Gpts per channel as standard and use SDS7000AP-2GPTS instead. The extra depth applies in dual-channel mode.
Record length at a glance
From the SDS7000A data sheet EN04A.
| Models | A models only — SDS7304A, SDS7404A, SDS7604A, SDS7804A H12 |
| Standard record length | 500 Mpts per channel |
| With this key | 1 Gpts per channel in dual-channel mode (C1 or C2 with C3 or C4) |
| Three or four channels | 500 Mpts per channel (unchanged) |
| At 20 GSa/s | 500 Mpts = 25 ms, 1 Gpts = 50 ms of record |
| Note | In average and ERES modes the record is 25 Mpts per channel; with digital channels active, 50 Mpts |
Compatibility
Record-length keys are specific to the hardware platform: one for the A models, one for the AP models.

Questions about SDS7000A-1GPTS
Which models take this key?
The A models only — SDS7304A, SDS7404A, SDS7604A and SDS7804A H12. The AP models have 1 Gpts per channel as standard and use SDS7000AP-2GPTS.
Does the extra memory apply with all four channels on?
No. The deepest record applies with fewer channels active: 1 Gpts per channel in dual-channel mode; with three or four channels the standard 500 Mpts applies.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
Not sure this is the right key?
Send us your serial number and what you want to measure. We will confirm the exact option before you order.
