Siglent SDS7000AP-2GPTS 2 Gpts memory depth (software)
Siglent SDS7000AP-2GPTS is a 2 Gpts on one channel and 1 Gpts on two, on top of the AP models’ standard 1 Gpts — AP models. For the SDS7000A. ( license option )
SDS7000AP-2GPTS — 2 Gpts memory depth (software), AP models
2 Gpts on one channel and 1 Gpts on two, on top of the AP models’ standard 1 Gpts — AP models.
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.

What this option does
What it does
A software key for the SDS7604AP and SDS7804AP that raises the maximum record length to 2 Gpts per channel with one channel active and 1 Gpts per channel with two; three or four channels keep 500 Mpts per channel. The AP models already come with 1 Gpts (one or two channels) as standard.
What you use it for
The longest single-shot record in the series: 100 ms at the full 20 GSa/s on one channel, for events that are long and fast at the same time.
In practice
A power-up sequence that takes tens of milliseconds and contains a glitch a few hundred picoseconds wide: one record at full rate holds the whole sequence, and the glitch is found with Search rather than by trying to trigger on it.
⚠ AP models only (SDS7604AP, SDS7804AP). A-model owners need SDS7000A-1GPTS instead.
Record length at a glance
From the SDS7000A data sheet EN04A.
| Models | AP models only — SDS7604AP, SDS7804AP |
| Standard record length | 1 Gpts per channel (1 or 2 channels), 500 Mpts per channel (3 or 4) |
| With this key | 2 Gpts per channel (1 channel), 1 Gpts per channel (2 channels), 500 Mpts per channel (3 or 4) |
| At 20 GSa/s | 2 Gpts = 100 ms of record on one channel |
| Note | In average and ERES modes the record is 25 Mpts per channel; with digital channels active, 50 Mpts |
Compatibility
Record-length keys are specific to the hardware platform: one for the A models, one for the AP models.

Questions about SDS7000AP-2GPTS
Which models take this key?
The AP models only — SDS7604AP and SDS7804AP. A-model owners need SDS7000A-1GPTS.
Does the extra memory apply with all four channels on?
No. The deepest record applies with fewer channels active: 2 Gpts on one channel, 1 Gpts per channel on two; with three or four channels 500 Mpts per channel applies.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
