Siglent SNA6122A 100kHz – 13.5 GHz 2-Port, 135 dB VNA + DRA
The SNA6122A adds Direct Receiver Access to the 100 kHz–13.5 GHz, 2-port platform: source, reference and measurement paths are broken out for higher power, external amplifiers and advanced setups. With 135 dB dynamic range, up to 100,001 points and a 12.1-inch touch UI, it suits demanding amplifier, filter and signal-integrity work, and grows with spectrum, pulse, TDR and material-measurement options.
Product overview
The SNA6122A is a high-end 2-port vector network analyzer covering 100 kHz to 13.5 GHz with Direct Receiver Access (DRA), with more than 135 dB of dynamic range, very low trace noise (0.005 dB rms) and a large 12.1-inch touchscreen. It measures full and differential S-parameters, receiver and time-domain parameters, with up to 100,001 points and an output level from −55 to +10 dBm.
Built on a modular, integrated architecture, the SNA6122A scales from R&D to production: add spectrum analysis, pulsed-RF, scalar-mixer, material-measurement and enhanced time-domain (TDR) options, expand to 24 ports with the SSM, and calibrate with mechanical or electronic kits to 26.5 GHz — including imported and user-defined kits. Direct Receiver Access breaks out the source, reference and measurement paths for higher power handling, external amplifiers and advanced measurement configurations.

Features in depth
High dynamic range & precision
High dynamics enable more precise and reliable measurements — critical across research, development and production. With a dynamic range of over 135 dB, the SNA6000A excels at the detailed analysis of weak signals even when they appear alongside much stronger ones, making it ideal for measuring filters with low insertion loss and high stopband attenuation. High dynamics also minimise signal distortion to improve signal integrity, and increase calibration accuracy where the effect of cables and adapters must be reduced. Very low trace noise (0.005 dB rms, 0.012° rms) and a −135 dBm/Hz noise floor keep results tight and repeatable.

Advanced calibration
Calibration is critical for high-accuracy network analysis. The SNA family supports a broad range of mechanical and electronic calibration kits up to 26.5 GHz, for both general-purpose and precision-level requirements, together with advanced calibration methods that improve ease-of-use while delivering best-in-class accuracy. Response, enhanced-response, full 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-port and TRL calibration are all supported. Siglent protects your investment by allowing the import of calibration kits from other manufacturers as well as fully customer-defined kits, so an existing kit or an unusual connector type is rarely a barrier.
Built-in spectrum analysis
Integrating spectrum analysis into a vector network analyzer opens up expanded possibilities — especially in the development and testing of high-frequency amplifiers, oscillators and communication systems. Available as the SNA6000-SA option, it allows precise analysis of harmonics, intermodulation products and other nonlinear effects, while simultaneously optimising signal quality and bandwidth utilisation in communication applications. Combining VNA and spectrum analysis in one instrument saves both space and cost, and enables deeper, more comprehensive signal characterisation without switching tools.

Fast, accurate pulsed-RF measurement
The SNA6000A can be extended with pulsed measurement (SNA6000-PM), which is particularly advantageous when characterising high-frequency components under real operating conditions — as in radar and communication systems. This method makes it possible to analyse the behaviour of components with short pulses, precisely evaluate fast switching operations and optimise performance in time-critical applications. Because bias-tee and pulse hardware are built in as standard, the platform is ready for pulsed-RF work with minimal additional setup.
Time-domain analysis & TDR
With the SNA6000-TDA and SNA6000-TDR options, time-domain reflectometry extends the VNA to comprehensively diagnose and characterise signal paths, lines and cables. Eye diagrams can be generated — crucial for evaluating signal integrity in digital communications — and the combination of TDR and VNA enables jitter analysis to investigate the temporal stability of signals. Both functions are of particular interest in high-speed digital development, where locating discontinuities and validating interconnects quickly saves significant time.

Extend the power to multiport devices
A single SSM (switch-matrix module) unit can expand the output to 24 ports and integrate easily, adapting readily to automated test systems and production-line scenarios. The multiport measurement capability of the VNA improves test throughput and thereby significantly reduces device test costs. Typical applications include the design, verification and production of antennas and data-converter interfaces, and the automated test of RF components and other multiport devices.

You’ll need a calibration kit
A vector network analyzer is only as accurate as its calibration. The SNA6122A does not include a calibration standard — pair it with a mechanical or electronic (ECal) kit rated to your frequency so you can measure to a trusted reference plane. The SNA family even accepts imported and user-defined kits.
Browse calibration kits & ECal
A VNA measures relative to its calibration plane. Calibration removes the errors of the cables, adapters and connectors between the instrument and the device under test — essential above 10 GHz.
Mechanical (SOLT/TRL) kits and one-connection ECal modules to 26.5 GHz, plus imported other-brand and fully user-defined kits — your existing kit usually works.
Re-calibrate when cabling, span, power or temperature changes, so a good kit is used constantly across the SNA6122A's working range.
