Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own.
What this option does
What it does
Runs the MIPI D-PHY conformance test suite (CTS version 1.0) on the oscilloscope: group 1 and 2 low-power transmitter signalling on data and clock lanes, group 3 and 4 high-speed transmitter signalling, group 5 clock-to-data lane timing and group 6 the eye test. The instrument sets itself up, measures, applies the limits and writes the report.
What you use it for
D-PHY is the physical layer under MIPI CSI-2 cameras and DSI displays. A lane that is marginal on timing works on the bench and fails in the field; the suite finds the margin before the module goes to production.
In practice
A camera module shows occasional frame tears on one host board. The group 5 clock-to-data timing results sit at the limit on one lane, which traces back to a trace-length mismatch on the host — found in an afternoon instead of a week of swapping parts.
Probing is with high-bandwidth differential probes (SAP5000D or SAP8000D with the matching solder-in or browser heads); Siglent list no dedicated D-PHY fixture. The key is issued against the oscilloscope’s serial number.

Do I need a fixture?
Siglent list no dedicated D-PHY fixture. Probing is with high-bandwidth differential probes such as the SAP5000D or SAP8000D, with the solder-in or browser heads that suit your board.
Which SDS7000A models run it?
All of them — the A models and the AP models. For the fastest interfaces the higher-bandwidth models leave more margin in the measurement, but the application itself is the same key on every model.
Is the report a certificate?
It is pre-compliance evidence: the standard’s own test items with pass/fail against the limits and the captured waveforms. It tells you what a test house will find before you book one; it does not replace the test house where formal certification is required.
How is the licence delivered?
Supplied as a licence key issued against the instrument's serial number. There is no hardware to fit and nothing to return: the code is entered in the instrument's own menu and the function is available immediately, on the instrument you already own. Add the instrument’s serial number to your order, or send it to us afterwards — the key is issued against it.
Can I return a licence?
Software licences and activation keys are delivered electronically and are excluded from the 14-day EU return right once the key has been issued. If you are unsure which key you need, ask us first — with your serial number we can confirm it.
