SDS5036X HD — six-channel 12-bit oscilloscope, 350 MHz

A six-channel, 350 MHz oscilloscope with a 12-bit ADC, 5 GSa/s sampling, up to 2.5 Gpts per channel and a 100 µVrms noise floor — on a 12.1-inch touchscreen.

Six channels are the point of this model. Three voltages and three currents of a drive or inverter, or six rails of a board coming up, land in one time-aligned acquisition — and six is the channel count the three-phase power key needs. With the SPL2016 it becomes a 6 + 16 channel MSO.

350 MHz with an 830 ps rise time covers switching converters, motor drives, most embedded logic and serial buses. If faster edges arrive later, a software key lifts this unit to 500 MHz or 1 GHz without a return to the factory.

Eight rails, one trigger

A power-up sequence on an eight-channel model: C1 to C8 come up one after another across 28 ms at 10 ms/div. Rail order, inter-rail delay and ramp shape are read from one acquisition.

What is on the rear panel

Everything you need to put the SDS5036X HD into a system rather than on a bench: a reference in and out, a trigger in, an output for a trigger or pass/fail decision, and three ways to control it.

Questions about the SDS5036X HD

Is the SDS5036X HD available?

Yes — it is a regular price-list model at €8,530 ex VAT. Ask us for a quote and delivery time; the six-channel models are configured to order.

What does “5 GSa/s” and “2.5 Gpts” mean with all channels on?

5 GSa/s and 2.5 Gpts per channel apply in quarter-channel mode (one input per group of four); with every channel active the instrument runs 2.5 GSa/s and 500 Mpts per channel. Half-channel mode gives 5 GSa/s and 1 Gpts. Siglent’s data sheet states all three.

Is power analysis included?

No. Bode plot, Double Pulse Test, Mask Test and the measurement suite are standard; Power Analysis (SDS5000HD-PA, €1,040) and three-phase TPPA (SDS5000HD-PA3, €1,800) are software keys, and they need a differential and a current probe.

Can I upgrade the bandwidth later?

Yes: SDS5000HD-6BW3T5 (€2,670) or SDS5000HD-6BW3TA (€6,220). Keys are per channel count, so only the 6-channel keys apply to this model.

How does it differ from the SDS5034X HD and SDS5038X HD?

Same bandwidth, same acquisition system; only the channel count differs (4 and 8 channels). The channel count cannot be changed later, the bandwidth can.

Does it fit a rack?

Yes, with the SDS5000X-RMK 6U kit. For a rack-native unit without a screen, the SDS5000L is the same electronics in 1U.

What is in the box?

The oscilloscope, one 500 MHz passive probe per channel, USB cable, power cord, quick start guide, calibration certificate and a wireless mouse. Three-year warranty, supported from the Netherlands by the official Siglent distributor for the EU.
